Research and Evaluation

Matrix has extensive experience of employing a wide range of research methods. This expertise allows us to provide a comprehensive evaluation framework that determines how a programme should work, how it is implemented in practice, its impact and whether it provides value for money.

The research and evaluation tools most commonly used by our consultants include survey research, qualitative research, ex-ante evaluation, action research and programme monitoring. These tools allow us to design ‘fit-for-purpose’ research studies that meet the demanding timescales and varying budgets of senior civil servants and policy decision makers.

Combining this research experience with our specialist knowledge of the strategic and practical issues in delivering public services across government, Matrix is able to balance methodological rigour with policy reality, to provide research that meets the needs of our clients.
